Melisa Rau, LPC

Melisa Rau is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Play Therapist. Melisa graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center of Dallas with a Masters in Clinical and Rehabilitative Counseling. She worked in the Developmental Neuropsychology department at UTSW as well as Children's Medical Center in Dallas before transitioning to private practice. Melisa has worked in a private practice setting for 10 years. She has extensive clinical experience working with children and adolescents struggling with social, behavioral, emotional, and cognitive difficulties. She enjoys helping individuals better understand their brains and works closely with parents and families for a comprehensive approach to treatment.

Melisa sees children, adolescents, and young adults. Melisa incorporates play and activity therapy specific to each individual’s need. She also provides parent training for parents as part of her treatment plans. Melisa is offering in-person and virtual sessions made by appointment. Melisa is out of network with all insurance providers.
